Badlands Tank Lines is seeking full-time Diesel Mechanics for our Scio, OH location. This position is dedicated to working independently in the field and on-call as needed and will work in all weather conditions as needed to meet company requirements.
Hourly pay rate is directly related to the amount of industry experience and specific job.
- Work schedule is NIGHT SHIFT, 4 on / 3 off with overtime as needed or requested.
- This position is eligible for a quarterly $750 incentive bonus.
- Pay is based on 20 hours of overtime per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Diesel Mechanics:
- No Major Engine Repair
- Will Have to Work Outside in the Elements
- Crude Tank Experience Preferred But Not Required
- Work schedule is 4 on / 3 off with Overtime as needed or requested.

- Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot truck and trailer repairs and service.
- Inspect all trucks and trailers as needed.
- Perform all tire repairs and rotations as needed.
- Repair wheel seals and lights on equipment.
- Change valves on trailers as needed.
- Perform services in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and complete all related inspections as required.
- Use safe working practices and follow all company safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively with supervisor on a regular basis.
- Ability to respond to all on-call requests made after normal business hours.
- Ability to work outside in the elements for the duration of the shift.

DIESEL TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must have your own hand tools.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position.
- Must provide own hand tools that are adequate to perform repairs.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining composure and professionalism.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Subject to DOT required background checks as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree [GED].
- 3+ years of experience in DOT service/repair.
- Prior experience with crude trailers a plus.
